We have another new designer on Ruby Loves Red today - Prince Design UK makes lovely ceramic bird shaped bowls with intricate glazes and patterns.

Elizabeth Prince has been making things since she was tiny, and
became totally obsessed with ceramics whilst working as an interior
designer after finishing her art degree. Every piece by Prince Design
UK is hand made and glazed by Elizabeth and on Ruby Loves Red we have a
wonderful varied collection of bird shaped bowls, great alone or in a
pair, how can you resist!

So this was the state of my workroom yesterday as the start of the mad panic begins to get ready for the Caird Hall Craft Fair in Dundee on Saturday 24th April, so soon! I managed to get a few new bears cut out but I do think they look more than mice and some Ruby Loves Red birdies cut out too - so lots ready to be sewn up and stuffed in the next few days. I would also love to have some prints available at the craft fair of some drawings I have done recently, I ordered some really great poly/cotton canvas to print them on which has a really great texture and will hopefully make them look quite nice but that's another blog post I think. These guys are still expressionless, I reckon if I don't get the faces sewn on I can always spend the morning of the fair sewing them on frantically.

The usual saga of me booking a craft fair months and months ago, thinking I will be super-prepared, make lots in advance, re-vamp the layout of the stall, have many new products designed and made and all in plenty of time - well it has happened again and as usual I am not!
The Dundee Caird Hall Craft Fair is on the 24th April, I now only have 3 days off work in which to make, make, make, like a mad-woman and I have also been called up for Jury duty on the 15th so could lose on day off to this too, what a pickle. So as usual the last minute panic has set in and even though I was off yesterday I managed to get the grand total of one, yes ONE toy make yesterday - I blame the laptop and it's evil hold over me. So far my beautiful 6 foot table is going to have one lovely table cloth and the grand total of three toys sitting there (and they still need mouths sewn on, hence the photo of legs and some very half-mast trousers!).
This means I am for for a day of cutting, sewing and a few cups of tea, maybe some biscuits thrown in for good measure, cheerio for now.....
