These are just some of the guys off the Haar Shop, if you want to snap one up then you can at the Murray Library, Shore Street, Anstruther between the 14th and 22nd of August - wish they'd look a bit happier about the whole thing though! Oh and if you do make it to Anstruther for a look then make sure you grab some fish and chips while you are there - so so good.

Purses - Done

purses

Phase one complete - purses for Haarfest sewn up, ironed and buttons attached, now to label up and they are good to go. (I've not done all this this morning, I started during the week, not quite mastered super human sewing skills yet, but maybe one day!)

Haar Shop

Haarshop is the creative hub of Fence's Haarfest festival which runs from the 14th-22nd August. Work will be showcased by some of Scotland's best artists, designers and makers (and a few invited friends from South of the border) - This includes me by the way just in case you hadn't guessed!

You can also catch free acoustic sessions from the likes of King Creosote, The Pictish Trail, Adem and Meursault; electronic shenanigans from Found and Dr John Rogers and co; songwriting and patchwork workshops (not at the same time), photography and live art and theatre installations.

For Haarfest tickets check out the Fence website www.fencerecords.com
And for a bit of creative retail therapy come to the Haarshop between 10.30 - 6.

Tell your friends, family and loved ones, tweet, blog and facebook us, send smoke signals, tell the world - it's gonna be amazing!

...and remember HaarShop is here for 1 week and then it's gone!

So today I am pretty much going to be sewing and making and sewing and making so send lots of goodies off to Kirsty (Lovely Pigeon) who is organising the whole pop up shop event....... hopefully i'll have some photos of my makes by the end of today or tomorrow!

Shopping Heaven

One of my best pals Rachael has only gone and opened her very own shop in Edinburgh, and a very fine shop it is too! She has been working flat out to get it all to come together over the past few weeks and the doors opened on Saturday. I couldn't make it to the shop but have been looking at Rachael's blog for pics and thought I would share some with you. I can't wait to visit and if you are in Edinburgh pop in and say hi to her and John - Hannah Zakari, Candlemaker Row.

stars

These lovely little cloth stars are available here and are just so cute that come payday on Friday I might just be tempted to get one or two to decorate me, they would make fantastic gifts for some of my friends too - link here. What a cute way to display them too - lovely.

Hope you love as much as me, maybe one day we will be lucky enough to stock some of this loveliness in the shop!
