The Big Draw

This weekend sees events for "The Big Draw" going on all over the country. Here in Dundee there are a couple of exciting bits and pieces going on at DCA on both the Saturday and Sunday.

On Saturday you can join artist and illustrator Johanna Basford in completing huge collaborative doodles and drawings to celebrate The Big Draw 2010. You can send in your sketches outlined in black pen by email or post to DCA and Johanna will join them together to make mega-artworks which you can help bring to life with colour at the event. It is free for all ages. and you can drop-in at any time between 13:00 and 17:00 and get doodling with you fellow Dundee doodlers.

On Sunday there is going to be a workshop about Johanna's techniques, favourite pens hugely successful career path and current new developments, and then take part in a special drawing workshop (this one is ticketed), and I am going to go along and see what's happening and hopefully catch up with a few Twitter people and do a bit of drawing at the same time, should be good.
