Snapshots from the North

hol1

So as I touched upon earlier I had a few days off and headed up North with Mr C for a few days break. We had a great time and the Scottish landscapes did not disappoint - every corner you turned looked completely different from the next and although there was no snow in Fort Augustus where we were based, the Canal and many nearby Lochs were totally frozen over and looked stunning. We had a lovely little house which overlooked the canal and locks and used this as a base for going on walks (I managed 15 miles one day, quite an achievement for someone with legs as short as mine!), we also drove across to Skye, around Loch Ness (no Monster sightings), and to Glen Affric which was a total winter wonderland. It was great to get away but my poor laptop charger was lost at some point on our travels, not so good but all is not lost, Mr C bought a shiny new one and we are up and running once again, whoop whoop.

Normal Service Will Resume....

I'm back from a 2 week break in Mexico with Danny which was wonderful, relaxing and quite frankly well needed by both of us. Upon my return I was faced with a six day stint at work which would not normally be too bad but faced with the added 6 hour jet-lag it wasn't a welcoming prospect.

Well I survived the 6 day stint and am looking forward to a nice long lie tomorrow morning followed by some wedding favour sewing and a trip to the hairdressers to go red!!!! So anyway, normal service on the blogging front should be resumed this week - I've actually missed it a lot.
