I have slowly but surely being trying to build upon my rather small fabric stash and have been getting a bit of stash envy when reading other blogs and seeing pictures of large shelving units and cabinets full to the brim of the most beautiful collections of fabrics. This is when I have to realise that fabric stashes take time and since mine was only born a few months ago it is actually growing quite nicely. I am trying to make it a rule to spend a little bit of money every month just after pay day on some new fat quarters to add to the collection in the hope of having a magnificent and varied stash to be proud of in a year or so.......here's hoping.
My most recent purchase was from Fabric Shoppe and you can find their Etsy shop here. I opted for the Surprise in your mailbox which is an envelope full of designer fat quarters in bright colours and I am quite please with them all, just need to get creative now and put them all to good use.
I love this piece of fabric but have no idea who it is by or what it is called.
If anyone out there knows of any good UK stockists of fabrics - patterned or plain please let me know, any advice would be welcomed as it can be a bit frustrating paying a premium to get good fabrics posted from abroad.
Edited to add - have just been informed of Manda at Treefall Design's recent post on the very same topic of where to find good UK suppliers of fabrics. Check out her post and all the fantastically useful comments left here. (Thanks to Hazel Joy and Manda!).
