My Creative Space
I've been a bit slow with the old blogging and crafting in the past week, think the craft fair efforts were all too much for me in the end and so I have taken a few days out to get back to the wonderful world of retail with my day job and have a good old clear out.

The prospect of clearing out my room was horrible but I had a shot on Monday and the beginnings of a slightly organised studio space are finally beginning to emerge. I put together some shelves which will hopefully one day hold a wonderful stash of fabrics and cleared out my desk too, even though I hate cleaning it does feel good to de-clutter. The photograph shows the shelves - slightly wonky but they will have to do - and they are still not full, I reckon if a job is worth doing it's worth doing well so I should just keep on with the clear out and not stop until I am super organised. I would like to paint the walls or at least one wall in this room a teal colour and get a red and white checked blind for over the window so I will keep you up to date with any progress that may (or may not) happen in the future.
My wardrobe however is a different matter I did not even start on that and I think I will probably put that off for at least a week. How can one person make such a mess, I am not even one of those people who keeps everything, I seem to have to have a clear out at least every 6 weeks.

This is the sewing desk complete with a just used duster (as if to try and prove I have been cleaning!). The desk has 10 little Scottie Dogs cut out, keyring lobster clasps for each and a Ruby Loves Red label for each, you can just see them on the left hand side there - these are a work in progress for the lovey Gillian of Ollie and Forbes who I met yesterday to discuss some future projects - very exciting - but that's a blog for another day.
