Experiment

tooth1

I've been wanting to make some little tooth fairy pillows or work on a new project with this eventual aim for a few weeks now but just haven't got round to it yet - until today that is. Anyone who knows me will know of my fear of going to the dentist and how dentists with teeth as their logo freak me out so the pillow could not really be tooth shaped!

This one is definitely not tooth shaped!

I don't think this is the finalised tooth holder but it is a pretty cute little attempt at one. I suppose it is really just a Wing-a-me-jig without wings, arms or legs and a bit smaller and with a ribbon to hang around a bed post or on a bedside cabinet drawer handle. It is around 6 inches high and the little pouch on the front is quite a nice size for a small child's newly lost tooth to fit in - with enough space for the tooth fairy to leave whichever treat she chooses. I'm sure this will just the the first of many ideas to come and I will try and tweak a few details here and there to improve the design such as pleating the fabric of the pouch to make it a bit bigger, working on a new face design etc, (I do love the cuteness of these sleepy little faces though). Will pop this one in the shop in a bit. x
