A Hard Day's Work

Above are some images of my newest bunch of Wing-a-me jigs created today for Ollie and Forbes. I am really loving the newest fabrics I purchased on Etsy recently from Fabric Closet and Fabric Lane but I just want to keep buying more and more so I can begin to combine various fabrics on each individual Wing-a-me-jig. I think the only way I can really do this is to set aside a little money every month to be used only for buying fabrics - I just need to stop looking at other peoples blogs and getting very envious about their HUGE fabric stashes!

I love the fabric with the cherries on it and also the pale yellow fabric with the small flowers on it especially.

Today was also the first time I have tried to scale up the Wing-a-me-jig design, it wasn't vastly bigger but I did realise that it does show up imperfections in the symmetry of the arms and legs so much more and I need to take more care in the future when sewing together both of the body parts. On the whole I am pleased with the results though, fingers crossed Ollie and Forbes will be too!
